After five years I finally graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Product Design and Manufacture this summer! I'm now working at Bombarier Transportation in Derby (company that makes trains) as a Design Assurance Engineer. Not quite made it into design yet, but at least I'm working as an engineer- not as a random temp in a call centre anymore!

I've just spent the last month and a bit repairing a carbon kevlar canoe polo kayak- it looks really good now- plus doesn't leak which is a big help. Still haven't sorted a 3* kayak test assessment- but will get round to it next year. Haven't really been sailing in my Comet- but my New Year's resolution is to get out and do more sailing.

I've taken over running our Girl Guide Unit in Loughborough since September. I've nearly completed my warrant -I just have to complete the paperwork now to become an official leader! By kayaking and studying AS French this year as part of my degree I should finally be able to complete my Gold DofE award- it will have only taken 7 years!!

I've settled up here in Loughborough with Dave (DT teacher boyfriend of two years now!)- we moved in together in July. Also last summer I finally acheived my goal of climbing Snowdon with Dave afer having wanted to do it for years.
